How does the Sprinter insulated subfloor fit into my van?

The system is CNC cut from 1-1/2" SIPS panels with 1/2" grooves routed into the foam, so the panels key directly into the ribs of your van. It sits about 1" above the top of the ribs.

What is included in the subfloor kit?

Three floor pieces that key into the ribs, three trim pieces to finish the edging, a custom fabricated step valence for the slider door entrance, and 3M 550 adhesive.

Can I get the floor pre-cut for L-Track?

Yes. When ordering you can choose a solid floor (No L-Track) or a version that comes pre-cut for L-Track.

What finishing materials should I use over the insulated subfloor?

After gluing the floor down with the included adhesive, we recommend a vinyl floor as your finish material for a durable, seamless finish.

It ships on a pallet for a $350 flat rate freight charge. Approximate weight is 96 lbs and lead time is 1-3 weeks.

How the Sprinter Insulated Subfloor Works

The floor is CNC cut using 1-1/2" in-house built SIPS panel with 1/2" grooves routed out of the insulated foam so that it keys in to the floor of your van. The height above the top of the ribs is about 1".

The R value of the material is 6.6, so we suspect it may be slightly less than that because we route out some of the foam. But with the contours fitting perfectly to the ribs, it creates a well insulated floor.

When you order, you can choose a solid floor (No L-Track) or a version pre-cut for L-Track.

Installation

Glue the floor down using the included 3M 550 adhesive, add your choice of finish material (we recommend vinyl floor for a durable seamless finish), and install the trim. Your floor is complete!

The step valence sits at the slider door. The step valence is part of the structure, so it goes in with the floor pieces. The trim goes on last to finish the edges.
