Planning a Toilet Into Your Van
A portable toilet is one of the easiest ways to add a bathroom to a van. There's no plumbing to run and no batteries to charge. The SaniPottie flush means no constant pumping. The manual handle flush and plastic seat keep the design simple.
Plan a spot for it in the build. You can tuck a portable toilet into a cabinet, under a bench or in a shower area. Check the seat height and the space you have before you pick a spot. The Dometic 972 portable toilet is the 2.6 gallon size. Because it is portable, you can move it where you need it. Measure your space before you order. Keep that capacity in mind when you plan how long you will be away from a dump spot. If you need more capacity, compare it with the Dometic 976 Portable Toilet - 5 Gallon.
