What the Slide Tray Does in Your Build
RB Components DIY slide tray kits are great for stowing bikes, camping gear or other items. They come in multiple depths. The kit gives you the slide hardware. You provide the floor, so the tray fits your width.
Measure your space, then cut 3/4" plywood to that width. Slide trays make deep storage easy to reach, like a garage or under a bed.
The slim, low profile design helps the 20 DIY slide tray kit fit tight spaces. Double slide locks hold the tray in place. Pull the release lever to slide it out, then load or grab your gear. Plan your mount before you cut the floor, since the mounting method sets how much weight the tray can carry.
Weight Rating and Mounting
Slides are rated at 500 lbs. This rating varies with your mounting method. Hard mounting to the floor and through bolting gives the highest capacity. Mounting to L-track reduces the weight capacity. Test it based on your L-track attachment method.
To mount the 20 DIY slide tray kit to L-track, you will need:
- #2506 L-track fitting with threaded stud (4 pcs)
- Aluminum L-track
